A Message from Our Clinical Director

Dr. Michelle Neufeld

Extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges.

As a parent, it can be incredibly difficult to know how best to support your child when something doesn’t feel quite right. Every child is different, and understanding their unique strengths and challenges is an important first step toward helping them thrive.

At New Bridges, we take the time to listen, to understand, and to create a clear path forward for each family we work with. Our goal is not only to provide answers, but to offer reassurance, clarity, and meaningful support at every stage of the journey.

“Our goal is to help every child feel understood, supported, and confident in who they are.”

We are here to guide you through the process with care, expertise, and a deep commitment to your child’s well-being.

“We were feeling overwhelmed and didn’t know where to turn. New Bridges gave us a clear path forward. They took the time to really understand our child and helped us feel supported every step of the way. We’ve seen such a positive change—not just in our child, but in our whole family dynamic.”

“What stood out right away was how much they listened. Nothing felt rushed or dismissed. Our child finally felt heard, and that made all the difference. We’re communicating better as a family now, and things feel more manageable.”

“It’s hard to explain the relief of finally having someone understand what your family is going through. The team at New Bridges brought both compassion and clarity. They helped us make sense of things and gave us practical tools we could actually use at home.”

“At first I didn’t really want to go, but it wasn’t what I expected. They actually listen and don’t just tell you what to do. It felt more like someone helping me figure things out instead of judging me. I’m doing a lot better now, especially at school and with my parents.”

“Before coming to New Bridges, we felt stuck. Now we feel hopeful again. Our child is more confident, and we feel more equipped as parents. It’s been a really important step forward for our family.”

“I didn’t think talking would help, but it actually did. It made things feel less overwhelming, and I feel more in control now.”
