Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Research has shown that Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective treatments to manage anxiety and depression. CBT involves teaching children/adolescents new skills and techniques to manage their symptoms. Children will learn new ways of thinking and behaving to assist in gaining control over their anxiety and mood. Parents typically participate in the therapeutic process as well so that specific strategies can be practiced at home.
